Trilio Announces General Availability of “Continuous Recovery,” Delivering Portability and Recoverability of Cloud-Native Applications in Seconds

New Innovation Empowers Data-Centric Organizations to Simultaneously Access “Single Source of Truth” Data from Multiple Heterogeneous Clouds

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., October 20, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Trilio, a leading provider of cloud-native data protection, today announced the general availability of “Continuous Recovery”. Continuous recovery provides faster levels of replication, recovery, and migration of Kubernetes data and metadata from any cloud or storage platform to another, delivering near-instant recovery times for cloud-native applications.

Completely independent of distribution, cloud and storage, Trilio’s continuous recovery allows users to continuously organize data across multiple heterogeneous clouds. This means that applications, regardless of their location, can mine this data and be online in seconds, achieving exceptional levels of recovery time objectives (RTOs). The feature is now available in the TrilioVault cloud-native data protection and management platform for Kubernetes v3.0.

“Trilio’s continuous recovery capability is a revolution in data protection as it moves the industry beyond ‘backing up your data anytime, anywhere’ to ‘your data is available anywhere. , all the time,'” said David Safaii, CEO of Trilio. “Continuous recovery essentially allows organizations to create a ‘cross-cloud’ infrastructure fabric, where your data is continuously replicated across multiple heterogeneous clouds at the same time. So if you’re using one cloud for disaster recovery, another for blue/green deployments, and another for production, they all have access to the same data, a single source of truth, regardless of infrastructure type used by each cloud. RTO is a matter of seconds. »

Continuous recovery helps customers comply with disaster recovery protocols, protect against ransomware attacks, migrate applications to meet cost and performance goals, and more. Here’s how:

  1. Disaster Recovery: Users can meet availability goals and recover from cloud region outages or outages in seconds or minutes rather than days or weeks. By using continuous restore, the RTO will improve by more than 80% compared to traditional methods.

  2. Application migrations: Continuous recovery allows IT teams to optimize performance and achieve a better total cost of ownership (TCO) by choosing the infrastructure best suited to current needs. Continuous recovery capability also enables organizations to unify their infrastructure, especially those that have grown rapidly and adopted a variety of compute platforms and storage solutions to meet unique needs. Continuous recovery enables extremely fast mobility of applications across infrastructure silos, making them silos.

  3. Blue/Green Deployments: Developers can increase the speed of CI/CD pipelines by storing data for multiple test/development environments. These test/dev environments can be launched in seconds with continuously replicated production data, accelerating the release of validated changes to production. In fact, DevOps teams can use this capability to test their “rollback” protocols more consistently to ensure rollback will work when needed.

  4. Data Retention from Edge Clouds: As distributed environments proliferate, massive amounts of data are collected at the edge. This information from diverse architectures must be quickly replicated and moved across distributed systems where it can be assimilated and analyzed centrally by any number of different applications.

“Trilio’s continuous recovery capability enables stateful application migration and replication in seconds or minutes so that all enterprises can protect and use their data anywhere, from core to edge, no matter what.” the app is running or where the data is stored,” Murali said. Balcha, founder and CTO of Trilio. “Cloud-native applications are complex and dynamic and must be portable across clouds. Traditional storage replication technologies cannot be extended to cloud-native applications. Continuous recovery is designed from the ground up for cloud-native applications. that run across multiple clouds. This game-changing capability will make today’s modern businesses even more competitive and resilient.”
