Accelerating digital transformation and adoption of cloud email services across the globe are forcing enterprises to revamp their email security architecture, with rising demand for phishing insights driving market growth. The global email security market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 16.2% over the next few years, to reach $6.8 billion by 2025.
Four companies that have excelled in protecting secure web connections and applications have seen their valuations soar over the past year. Akamai’s stock rose 2% on a valuation of $16.3 billion; Cloudflare shares rose 22% on a valuation of $31.02 billion; Qualys shares rose 15% to a valuation of $4.46 billion; and shares of Zscaler rose 20% on a valuation of $35.75 billion.
Three companies on our list have secured six-figure funding rounds, including: code security tools developer Contrast Security, which raised $150 million at a valuation of over $1 billion; cloud security provider Netskope, which raised $300 million at a $7.5 billion valuation; and application security provider Snyk, which raised $530 million at an $8.5 billion valuation.
