Totem is a media player for Linux, for all audio and video media. It can play media streams from the internet, and can play visualizations to audio. There are many versions that use either the Xine or gstreamer backends.


  • install libdvdcss2 to enable playback of DVDs. 
sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2
